Titoudao's Tasha Low Among Guests In New Live-Stream Cooking Show Hosted By MasterChef Judge Bjorn Shen

MasterChef Singapore judge Bjorn Shen is back to critique amateur cooks in a new culinary show.

In A Rookie and a Recipe, 10 local personalities and kitchen noobs will attempt to whip up a meal in two hours — live on meWATCH YouTube and meWATCH.

During this time, viewers can offer tips to these novice cookery combatants via the YouTube chat function. The rookies can enlist the help of their family or friends by using two video call lifelines.

Chef Bjorn will provide a running commentary and later taste the completed dish and decide whether the newbies earn the right to clear the ‘Rookie Kitchen’ test.

The 10 rookies participating include Titoudao’s Tasha Low, Kin’s Aaron Mossadeg, stand-up comedian Rishi Budhrani, and Xixi Lim, the host of the meWATCH talk show Friend or Foe? The live-stream sessions will kick off this Friday (July 31) at 11am. The schedule is as follows:

Each A Rookie and a Recipe instalment will be live-streamed on meWATCH YouTube and meWATCH, and made available on-demand after each live-cast. A 30-minute version of each episode will be shown on meWATCH and Channel 5, Wednesdays, 8pm, starting from Sept 2.
