Meta weirdness abounds in Olivier Assays’ eight-part limited series — a remake of his 1996 feature headlined by Maggie Cheung — starring Alicia Vikander as a Hollywood actress whose life is upended by a new film she’s working on in France. Fala Chen co-stars.

Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain

Friends and colleagues look back at the life of the chef/writer/philosopher — including the period leading up to his suicide in 2018 — in this documentary from Oscar-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom).

Peaky Blinders, Season 6

Final season! Cillian Murphy returns as gangster Tommy Shelby as he takes on various foes, including himself. Tom Hardy, Anya Taylor-Joy and Stephen Graham are involved in the melee as well.

First Kill

Emma Roberts is one of the executive producers behind this series about the unforbidden romance between a vampire and a slayer — and they are both girls. Stars Sarah Catherine Hook and Imani Lewis. Based on a short story by VE Schwab.
