Stuff To Watch This Week (Aug 15-21, 2022)

Celebrate 55 years of National Service with more drama about the men and women in the armed forces — played by Desmond Tan, Pierre Png (getting hot and heavy with Kym Ng here), Paige Chua, and Felicia Chin (in her final Mediacorp show before leaving the station in June) — and how they juggle their personal and professional lives.
Watch it on: meWATCH & Channel 8, from Mon, 9pm

King of Culinary, Season 3
Why be a MasterChef (that’s so last month), when you can be…a KOC! That’s King of Culinary. Unlike the previous two seasons, which are in Mandarin, Season 3 is presented in a multilingual format, over two stages. Part 1 consists of three separate competitions — Raja Kaiya Vecha (ராஜா கைய வச்சா), Raja Kulinari and 三把刀, conducted in Tamil, Malay and Mandarin, respectively — with contestants facing off their professional mentor-chefs in four rounds of cook-off. The winners will move on to ‘Battle of the Kings’ (sounds like a Game of Thrones spin-off) on Nov 13.
Watch it on: meWATCH, Vasantham and Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube, Sat, 9pm; Raja Kulinari and 三把刀 will drop on Aug 23 and Aug 24, respectively

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law
Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany is the latest MCU addition: Jessica Walter, aka She-Hulk, Bruce Banner’s cousin, a lawyer who specialises in superhuman-oriental cases. This nine-part season of MCU’s first comedy series —fourth-wall breakdown alert a la Fleabag — features cameos (that we know of so far) by Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Sorcerer Supreme Wong (Benedict Wong), Emil Blonsky/Abomination (Tim Roth) and Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox). We’ve seen four eps — and it’s a hoot. Honest. Watch our interview with the star....
