Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games: Opening Ceremony — ‘live’
Cheer for the 4,400 athletes from 160 countries and territories — including 10 from Singapore — competing at the Paralympics in the next 12 days. Four of the Team SG athletes are making their debuts: powerlifter Nur Aini Mohamad Yasli, cyclist Steve Tee, and swimmers Toh Wei Soong and Sophie Soon. Good luck, everyone!
Elvin Ng and Rui En together again! In this 130-ep drama, Elvin and James Seah (in a role previously by Shane Pow before he parted ways with Mediacorp) play ex-cons running a second-hand goods store next to a bakery owned by Rui En. Get this: Elvin and Rui En's characters are former lovers. Awkward!

The Ferryman: Legends of Nanyang
iQiYi’s first Southeast Asian production is a remake of the 2014 Chinese supernatural online drama Soul Ferry. Lawrence Wong plays a guy who see can ghosts and Qi Yuwu is the grim reaper he’s partnered with to guide wandering spirits to the other side. The 36-part series also stars Kate Kinney, Jeanette Aw, Tay Ping Hui (as a demon…no laughing in the back), and Titoudao’s Koe Yeet. The series will premiere with the first two eps, with two eps dropping every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm.

Based on a popular webcomic, this six-part K-drama stars Koo Kyo-Hwan (Train to Busan: Peninsula) and Jung Hae-In (Something in the Rain) as members of the Deserter Pursuit unit — the former is a veteran, the latter a rookie — tasked with capturing soldiers who went AWOL.

The Walking Dead, Season 11
The end is near…. In the super-sized final season (24 episodes!), Daryl, Maggie and Negan are on a mission to confront the Reapers. Elsewhere, Eugene’s group plans to infiltrate the Commonwealth to get help for Alexandria. Showrunner Angela Kang told TV Line says, “There’s going to be a feeling that things are just ripping along for the first block. Then, we’re going for some different tonal things than we’re used on the show, which hopefully will be fun for the audience.” For those who’ve given up on The Walking Dead after Glenn’s execution, maybe this is a time to get reacquainted.

Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Stories spin-off is an anthology of standalone tales inspired by myths and legends, like the Murder House from Season 1 of AHS. The cast includes Paris Jackson, Kaia Gerber (Cindy Crawford’s daughter), and AHS vet Dylan McDermott.
