Trailer Watch: Tatiana Maslany Has Anger Management — And Dating —Issues In She-Hulk Disney+ Series

Tatiana Maslany is ditching (Orphan) Black for a fresh coat of green.

Disney+ has dropped the trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, which is set to premiere Aug 18.

In the nine-episode comedy series (per official description), the Emmy-winning Maslany stars as Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who speciailses in superhuman-oriental legal cases.

The show — led by head writer Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty) and directed by Kat Coiro (Marry Me) and Anu Valia (And Just Like That…) — follows Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.

Besides Maslany and her CG-ed alter ego (is it just me or does the SPFX need more rendering time.... and does she look a lot like Fiona from Shrek?), the trailer also offers a glimpse of Mark Ruffalo’s Smart Hulk (Bruce Banner is Walter’s cousin), Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination and Benedict Wong’s Sorcerer Supreme Wong. (So She-Hulk has a connection with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings?)

The cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry.

She-Hulk is the Marvel Studios’ third Disney+ series this year, following Moon Knight in March and Ms Marvel, launching June 8. The company also has lined up a Halloween special starring Gael Garcia Bernal as Werewolf by Night from Michael Giacchino, and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special from James Gunn.
