First Look: Doctor-X's Ryoko Yonekura Plays A Hearse Transporter In Amazon Prime Video's Angel Flight
Doctor-X star Ryoko Yonekura has offered a sneak peek at her new show.
Called Angel Flight, the Amazon Original series is slated to launch in 2023, shared Yonekura on her Instagram today (Sept 13).
“I will be playing a hearse transporter between international borders bringing bodies and mortal remains back to the bereaved families,” the actress wrote. “It is a story of the people who work hard to serve those who pass away while abroad, and give the bereaved a chance for a final farewell.
“The wonderful series will surely fill your heart with warmth after viewing each episode. Angel Flight is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2023.
“Hope you enjoy the series.”
Earlier this year, Yonekura appeared in The Journalist, the six-part Netflix series based on a book by Isoko Mochizuki, where she played a newspaper reporter covering a real-estate scandal involving the Prime Minister. She more recently worked on the Japanese-dubb edition of Bullet Train, where she voiced Maria Beetle, Brad Pitt’s handler played by Sandra Bullock.
In November, Yonekura will return to Broadway to reprise the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago. She's played the part three times before in 2012, 2017 and 2019.
The Journalist and Doctor-X are now streaming on Netflix.
