Nurul Aini won her fifth Most Popular Female Personality title at last night’s (Mar 5) Pesta Perdana 2021, Mediacorp’s biennial awards show that honours the best in local Malay entertainment.

The evening's big winner was Raksasa, the fantasy-drama telemovie about a little girl abducted by a monster, which took home Best Drama Special, Best Actor in a Leading Role – Drama Special/Anthology for Lim Kay Tong, Best Writing, and Best Editing.

Hosted by Najip Ali and held at The Theatre at Mediacorp, the 16th edition of Pesta Perdana also saw Norman Ishak named Most Popular Male Personality. Warna 94.2FM’s Tamu Warna: Espresso Warna received the inaugural Best Audio Programme award.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred on Suhaimi Jais for his contributions to the industry, which includes producing Simfoni Layar Perak, the first Malay symphonic concert staged at the Esplanade; Muzika Extravaganza, an annual variety co-production with Radio Television Malaysia; and the acclaimed mini-series Bunga Tanjong.
