Mediacorp To Showcase Inspiring Individuals In Post-Circuit Breaker Special

You’ve sung your heart out during last month’s nationwide singalong to express thanks to our frontline and migrant workers, now meet some of these individuals and hear their stories.

On June 1, Mediacorp will air a 15-minute special, Stronger As One, to showcase the inspirational stories of individuals impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak, and how they overcome the odds to emerge stronger. They include Indian national Subramaniam Pugalandi, a migrant worker and COVID-19 survivor, who first struck a chord of public concern via CNA’s documentation of his difficult recovery process, and Melvin Chew, founder of the #HawkersUnited community initiative offering an online delivery platform for hawkers.

There will also be a rousing performance by Joanna Dong and the Singapore Symphony Choruses.

The clip will culminate in a singalong session with local songbird Joanna Dong and the Singapore Symphony Choruses as they perform the poignant ‘We Will Get There’. Viewers are also encouraged to visit sgunited.gov.sg to find out how they may contribute to our communities.

Supported by Gov.sg, the special aims to uplift Singaporeans’ spirits and rally everyone for the long road to recovery ahead. The clip will be available at 7.30pm across Mediacorp platforms on meWATCH, Channel 5, Channel 8, Channel U, Suria, Vasantham and social media pages on Facebook and YouTube.
