Doctor Stephen Strange is opening up a new portal — this time on Disney+.

The Benedict Cumberbatch-starring Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is bound for Disney+ on June 22, the streaming service announced on Thursday (June 2).

No word on what bonus material will be included. Director Sam Raimi had previously mentioned that the original cut was 160 minutes long before it was trimmed down to 126 minutes. Will those deleted scenes turn up here? Fingers crossed.

The movie also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg and Rachel McAdams.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness sees the former Sorcerer Supreme and Master of the Mystic Arts battling an unexpected (not really that unexpected) adversary across parallel universes and along the way, he’s helped/hindered by a host of characters including — spoiler territory! — alternate versions of Captain America and Captain Marvel, and a familiar figure from the X-Men film series.

Since its global theatrical rollout in May, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has nearly US$880 million (S$1.2 billion) on a reported US$200 million budget, and scored generally positive reviews (about 74 percent, according to Rotten Tomatoes). Per Box Office Mojo, the movie, as of May 29, has earned about US$6.7 million in Singapore.
