Jack Neo's The King Of Musang King Sets July 27 Launch On Amazon Prime Video
Jack Neo’s The King of Musang King is making its way to Amazon Prime Video.
The movie, about the unlikely romance between two durian farmers (Neo and Yeo Yann Yann), will be out on the streaming service beginning July 27.
Released theatrically during the Chinese New Year holidays, The King of Musang King also stars Mark Lee, Henry Thia, Glenn Yong, Gadrick Chin and Angeline Teoh.
With earnings of over S$1.85 million, the movie is the No.1 Asian film in Singapore in the first half of 2023, according to Shin Min Daily.
In April, Amazon Prime Video recently started to add Singapore content to its library, which now includes He Shuming’s Golden Horse Award-nominated Ajoomma, Anthony Chen’s Ilo Ilo and Wet Season, as well as Mediacorp dramas Third Rail, This Land is Mine and Derek.
The King of Musang King is Neo's first Amazon Prime Video release. His other movies — such as I Not Stupid, Ah Boys to Men, and Long Long Time Ago — are on Netflix, Disney+ and HBO Go. (hey, Jack, when is Ah Girls Go Army coming to streaming? Asking for a friend.)
Amazon Prime Video is available in Singapore for S$2.99 per month. New customers can click here and subscribe to a free 30-day trial.
