Indian Streaming Service Hotstar To Launch In Singapore On Nov 1

Hotstar, India’s premium streaming service dedicated to cricket and entertainment, will launch in Singapore on Nov 1.

Customers in Singapore can access over 85,000 hours of premium content directly via the Hotstar website or app (Android or iOS) for a subscription fee of S$69.98 annually (or S$5.83 per month).

The Disney-owned streamer is also accessible with Indian+ on StarHub TV+ service on a 12- or 24 month contract at no additional cost. Indian+ costs S$15 a month on a 24-month contract or S$25 a month on a 12-month contract.

As a welcome offer to fans, consumers can watch for free the last four matches from the Indian Premier League cricket tournament (Nov 1-3), currently taking place in United Arab Emirates.

Other content available on Hotstar includes top-rated shows from Star Vijay and Star Plus, and Hotstar originals such as Aarya (above), a thriller fronted by former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen; Special Ops, starring Kay Menon; and Hostages, starring Ronit Roy.

Hotstar will also feature exclusive direct-to-streaming Bollywood films (including the late Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechara) as well as a curated library of over 2,000 Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu movies (among them India’s highest-grossing film of 2017, Bahubali 2).
