Trailer Watch: Daniel Craig Shows Off His Neckerchief In Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Netflix has dropped the first trailer as well as the poster artwork for Rian Johnson’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, the sequel to the Oscar-nominated whodunit with Daniel Craig back as detective Benoit Blanc.

This time, Blanc (nice neckerchief!) is investigating a murder mystery on a private island in Greece. His suspects are played by Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monae, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr, Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline and Jessica Henwick.

Ethan Hawke is reportedly in the film as well but he’s nowhere to be seen in the teaser. Neither is his name on the poster. So, is he playing the victim? Or maybe we shouldn’t think too much.   

“The phrase I kept coming back to and talking about the first movie is, ‘It’s a roller coaster and not a crossword puzzle, said Johnson in an interview with Tudum. “It’s a common mistake in writing whodunits, thinking that you’re making a crossword puzzle, and that the fun is that audience is actually going to analyse all this and figure it out.

"I know when I’m reading or watching a whodunit, I always let go of the notion of figuring it out about a third of the way through it.”
