Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency Will (Eventually) Solve Your Mystery

Based on the novels of Douglas Adams (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy), this quirky comedy is about the titular sleuth (Samuel Barnett) and his reluctant sidekick Todd (Elijah Wood) looking into a bizarre missing-person case (psst, it involves soul-switching).
Because Gently is a psychic, his detecting style is based less on forensics than hunches. So when he arrives at a revelation, it can be both random and baffling.
In fact, we had difficulty understanding his MO in the first four eps. But be patient. If you binge-watch to the end, when all is revealed, you’ll realise that there is order in chaos, or as Gently repeatedly says throughout the show, “Everything is connected.” (Photo: Netflix)
