Trailer Watch: Rebecca Lim Shows Off Her Terrified Face In Kelvin Tong's Confinement
The movie also stars Cynthia Koh.
Rebecca Lim has every reason to be afraid of becoming a mum — on screen, that is.
In Kelvin Tong’s supernatural thriller Confinement, Lim plays a first-time mother who hires a confinement nanny (Cynthia Koh) to look after them for a month.
“For one month, no leaving the house,” the nanny tells her client sternly in the just-released 42-sec teaser. “No visitors. No other food other than what I prepare for you.”
Lim replies: “Confinement sounds like imprisonment.” (Or life under lockdown — remember that time?)
And you know the rest. She starts seeing shadowy figures around the house. Are they real or is parenting pressure driving her bonkers?
Either way, she screams a lot.
This looks like the perfect movie to watch during the Hungry Ghost Festival, but it’s coming out on Oct 19 instead, one week after The Exorcist: Believer and one week before Saw X — that’s Saw Part 10, not Saw (formerly Twitter). Yes, heavy hitters.
Are Confinement's old-school PG13 scares strong enough to stave off competition from Hollywood's Halloween line-up? We’ll see.
