Anthony Chen’s Golden Horse Award-nominated Wet Season has dropped its official music video. The song also called ‘Wet Season’ is performed by Singapore pop rock group NEKO Highway.The theme song, also called ‘Wet Season’, is performed by Singapore pop rock group NEKO Highway.

Wet Season, about a Chinese language teacher (Yeo Yann Yann) who forms an unlikely relationship with her student (Koh Jia Ler), is rated M18 for “Mature Theme & Sexual Scene”. So if you’re under 18, the music video is the closest you’ll get to seeing the movie.

The movie, which also stars Christopher Lee and Yang Shi Bing, is the opening film at the Singapore International Film Festival on Nov 21. Tix were sold out in less than 30 minutes. Fret not, it opens commercially on Nov 28, with sneaks from Nov 22 onwards.

Wet Season is up for six awards — including Best Narrative Feature — at the 56th Golden Horse Awards on Nov 23. So far, it’s won the Fei Mu Best Film at China’s Pingyao International Film and Best Film at the just-concluded the London East Asia Film Festival.

The song ‘Wet Season’ is now available on various digital platforms.
