HBO Go has dropped the first teaser trailer for And Just Like That… the highly anticipated revival of Sex and the City.

Hyped as “the next chapter” of  the iconic series – which ran from 1998 to 2004 and spawned two feature films — And Just Like That… is set to debut wit the first two episodes on Dec 9. Subsequent weekly instalments of the 10-ep season will be out on Thursdays.

And Just Like That… follows the lives of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) — now in their 50s — as they continue to navigate complicated New York City lives, love and careers. (Die-hard fans will also be curious to learn how they will explain the absence of Samantha, played by Kim Cattrall.)

The series, which is still in production in New York, also stars Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler and the late Willie Garson.

Reacting to the teaser trailer launch, Parker wrote on Instagram, “We have so many to thank. Including all our new on and off camera friends who said ‘yes’ and made our stories richer and made our on set hours so joyous.

“With equal contributions our entire crew family. Our writers, directors and every single department who brought their talent, commitment, skills, good humour, tireless energy and new friendship.

“I feel indebted to all. We are very much looking forward to sharing this new chapter, so you can see and feel all we did for this past many months. And to you, our devoted and loving audience.”
