Adrian Pang Is So Stir-Crazy Working From Home, He Takes “Showers” In The Rain To Clear His Head
Don’t worry, he’s wearing swimming trunks.

Unlike some stars who have adjusted well to working from home during the Circuit Breaker, Adrian Pang is stir-crazy. “I am going out of my mind!” the actor and co-artistic director of theatre company Pangdemonium tells 8days.sg when we caught up with him last week. “This work-from-home thing is not a luxury that suits me well. I miss going into the office, I miss rehearsals and I miss my colleagues a lot. Being on Zoom meetings just makes me stressed out and pissed off, and I am in a terrible mood after meetings.”
It doesn’t help that he’s been suffering from chronic insomnia for the past few weeks and has essentially become a “vampire” in the day. To clear his head, his wife Tracie Pang has had to take him on rides on her scooter. He also relishes any chance to step out of the house for a breather, sometimes even basking half-naked in the rain, potentially scaring the neighbours.
“There is some perverse delight in being able to step out of the house,” explains Adrian. “I’ve found myself, whenever it starts raining, I go out and have a shower in the rain in my swimming trunks. And in my insomniac-infested nights, I’ve been known to go out for walks at 3.30am in the morning, topless. It is very calm and there are not many people around,” he says. Fortunately, there haven’t been any complaints from the neighbours, at least none that he’s aware of.
