It’s time to play dead pool with the Avengers… again. The last time we played it, the results weren’t what we expected.
For starters, none of the six original Earth’s Mightiest Heroes — Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) — die in Avengers: Infinity War.
The heroes who are killed in action — turned into ash by Mad Titan Thanos's (Josh Brolin) Infinity Stones-powered snap — are the MCU newbies: Black Panther (Chadwick Bosman), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), and five Guardians of the Galaxy. (RIP, Loki and Heimdall, too.)
Turns out directors Joe & Anthony Russo are saving Avengers: Endgame as a big send-off for the original six. “[They] are very much the focus of Endgame in a very personal and emotional way,” says Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige in Empire.
Just about everyone is speculating on who’s going to bite the dust, so to speak. Even the bookies in Las Vegas are weighing in. According to US Bookies, Captain America and Iron Man are very likely to croak, while Black Widow is least likely to pack her bags.
We'll find out soon enough what it'll cost the Avengers to get back at Thanos in the 14,000, 606th alternate future that Doctor Strange has predicted in Infinity War. Herewith are 8 DAYS’ revised projections as to who are the potential casualties of war.
Avengers: Endgame opens Apr 24.
