Spider-Man may have been reduced to ash by Thano’s killer finger snap in Avengers: Infinity War but fret not, he’ll be back. Here’s proof of life: the teaser for his next adventure, Spider-Man: Far from Home.
Again directed by Jon Watts, the sequel to 2017’s Homecoming, sees Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and his high school chums (including Jacob Batalon Zendaya) going on an excursion in Europe.
There, Peter meets his new mentor Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) and new villain Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).
While all that’s happening, there appears to be something romantic going on between Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) and Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau).
Far From Home will kick off Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 slate and, according to producer Amy Pascal, the action will start “a few minutes after [Avengers: Endgame] wraps as a story”.
Elsewhere, it’s unclear if Stan Lee had shot his cameo before his passing on Nov 12.
More Marvel news: The cast of Captain Marvel, opening March 7, will be in Singapore on Feb 14. Stars Brie Larson, Samuel L Jackson, Gemma Chan and directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck will be meeting fans at Marina Bay Sands.
Spider-Man: Far From Home opens July 4, while Avengers: Endgame is out Apr 24.
