Trailer Watch: Daniel Craig Takes On Rami Malek In His Last Run As James Bond In No Time To Die

It's Daniel Craig's fifth and final mission as James Bond.

They just can’t leave James Bond (Daniel Craig) alone, can they?

In the just-released trailer for No Time to Die, we see the retired super spy back in active duty — as a favour for CIA buddy Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright)?  — to deal with a new global threat in the form of Safin (Rami Malek).

To do that, Bond has to work with Nomi (Captain Marvel’s Lashana Lynch), a MI6 agent who took over the 007 codename after Bond . “The world’s moved on, Commander Bond,” says Nomi. “So stay in your lane; get in my way and I’ll put a bullet in your knee… the one that works.” Nasty.

Safin isn’t the only villain Bond has to deal with. He also has to face Spectre villain Stavro Blofeld (Christoph Waltz). But Stavro is incarcerated, so what secrets does he have on Bond? As usual, for Bond to save the world, it’ll involve tuxedos, Martini vodka, flashy gunplay, and vehicular mayhem (an Aston Martin with Vulcan mini-guns!)

The 25th Bond flick, said to be Craig’s final instalment, is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (Beasts of No Nation) and also stars Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, and Ben Whishaw,

No Time to Die opens here Apr 9, 2020.
