'The Eagle Huntress' Is An Inspiring Docu About An Unlikely Female Pioneer From Mongolia

If you have a daughter, you'd want to watch this documentary with her.

The Eagle Huntress (PG)

Narrated by Daisy Ridley

Directed by Otto Bell

Co-executive produced by Super Size Me’s Morgan Spurlock, this uplifting docu is about Aisholpan, a feisty 13-year-old nomadic Mongolian girl — and unlikely female pioneer — who dares to be an eagle hunter, a vocation traditionally reserved for men (’cos women are considered too weak to handle the bird of prey).

To silence her critics, she competes in the Golden Eagle Festival, a kind of Olympics for eagle hunters. Spoiler alert: she sends the guys packing. (****)
