First, it was Avengers: Endgame. Now it’s Spider-Man: Far From Home’s turn to be re-released in theatres with never-before seen footage.

The new version, featuring a four-minute action sequence, will be out in the US and Canada from Aug 29, in time for the Labour Day weekend. A Sony Pictures Entertainment spokesperson here told 8 DAYS that they are not releasing this new version.

There’s speculation that the additional content could be the sequence where Tom Holland’s Spider-Man — clad in the Iron Spider suit from Avengers: Infinity War — takes on a bevy of baddies in a restaurant. Parts of the scene can be glimpsed in the trailers.
