Space Sweepers, the highly-anticipated sci-fi movie, starring Song Joong-Ki and Kim Tae-Ri, will blast off from Netflix.

The Jo Sung-hee-helmed blockbuster will premiere worldwide exclusively on Netflix, says a statement released on Friday (Nov 20). No launch date has been set.

In Space Sweepers, set in 2092, a group of space scavengers (led by Descendants of the Sun’s Song Joong-Ki and Mr Sunshine’s Kim Tae-Ri) stumble upon a cargo — a humanlike robot in the shape of a seven-year-old girl — that’s wanted by many nefarious parties.

Netflix also dropped three stills from the first Korean sci-fi flick set in outer-space, which had its theatrical release delayed several times due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Watch this, er, space for more details.
