Chadwick Boseman’s fans, friends and colleagues took to social media to honour the Black Panther star who died on Friday (Aug 28) at age 43 after a four-year batter with colon cancer.
Boseman's Marvel pals, including Chris Evans, Angela Bassett, Mark Ruffalo and Don Cheadle, paid tribute to Boseman. Ruffalo tweeted, “All I have to say is the tragedies amassing this year have only been made more profound by the loss of #ChadwickBoseman. What a man, and what an immense talent. Brother, you were one of the all time greats and your greatness was only beginning. Lord love ya. Rest in power, King.”
“Chadwick was someone who radiated power and peace,” Larson wrote on Twitter. “Who stood for so much more than himself. Who took the time to really see how you were doing and gave words of encouragement when you felt unsure. I’m honored to have the memories I have. The conversations, the laughter. My heart is with you and your family. You will be missed and never forgotten. Rest in power and peace my friend.”

Democratic presidential nominee and former VP Joe Biden and vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris also commented on Boseman’s passing. Biden tweeted, “The true power of @ChadwickBoseman was bigger than anything we saw on screen. From the Black Panther to Jackie Robinson, he inspired generations and showed them they can be anything they want — even super heroes. Jill and I are praying for his loved ones at this difficult time.”
Harris wrote, “Heartbroken. My friend and fellow Bison Chadwick Boseman was brilliant, kind, learned, and humble. He left too early but his life made a difference. Sending my sincere condolences to his family.”

Among the fans mourning Boseman is 987 DJ Joakim Gomez, who shared on Instagram a photo of him posing with the actor at the Black Panther press tour in 2018.
“Rest in Power, my King,” Gomez wrote. “Wakanda Forever. We’ll see you at the Ancestral Plains.
“I am affected by his passing having met and interviewed him 2 years ago, as well as because of how much I hold the Black Panther movie close to my heart given what it stands for. Now that we know he was diagnosed before filming it, what a true warrior and king. Not forgetting the iconic people he has portrayed in other movies. He is a well-loved and respected man, and actor.
