These days, the first thing that catches your eye as you enter The Warehouse Hotel is a bar table, perched in the middle of the lobby. Laid neatly on it is a thermometer, hand sanitiser and a sign with SafeEntry details. This is but the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the hotel’s safe management measures (SMM).

Now that hotels have reopened for staycations in Phase 2, safety and hygiene are among the top priorities for guests. Hotels that have been approved to resume operations have to be certified SG Clean and have stringent SMMs in place. These range from SafeEntry check-ins and temperature-taking, to the stepping up of hygiene and sanitisation protocols. And, yes, we know the idea of a staycay is to unwind, but guests also need to stay vigilant and adhere to SMM in place (find out more about safe management measures for hotels here).
