In what was touted as the Wedding of the Decade, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo tied the knot in a private wedding held at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul last week.

But what was supposed to be a happy occasion got netizens seeing red. They were furious that Korean and Chinese media had illegally flew drones to live-stream the private wedding. One of these Chinese news outlet was Suiyui, whose owner is Wang Feng aka the husband of Zhang Ziyi, who was one of the wedding guests.

During an interview with a Chinese news outlet, Ziyi said that she only knew about the case after she returned to China. “My husband [Wang Feng] is the founder and stockholder of one of the media outlets [who live-streamed the wedding]. But both of us were unaware about this case. He entrusted the management of the company to other professionals half a year ago. If either of us had known about this beforehand, we would have stopped this shameful act,” she said, adding that those responsible for the illegal recording of the wedding have been strictly reprimanded and will receive due punishment.

The Chinese actress also apologised to the Song-Song couple.

Joong Ki has stated that he will not be taking any legal action against the illegal recording of his wedding with as he does not want the incident to cast a shadow over the happy event.

Three days after their wedding, the newlyweds were spotted at an airport in Spain. Will this be a baby-making honeymoon, just like Rain and Kim Tae Hee's?
