Wu Jinyan denies relationship with ‘Story of Yanxi Palace’ co-star

Story of Yanxi Palace co-stars Wu Jinyan and Hong Yao were reported to be vacationing in Bali, Indonesia together, giving rise to speculations that they’re currently in a relationship. While they play rivals in the hit Chinese drama, it seems that the duo's time spent together on set has caused sparks to fly between them.

An insider shared that the actors grew even closer while filming for the upcoming drama, Standardized Queen, and that their relationship is still blossoming.

While Jinyan denied the reports by reposting a meme with the words, “I am not, I did not, don’t talk drivel”, a netizen soon posted pictures of the actress with Hong Yao in Bali to refute her denial.

Another netizen also shared that Jinyan only follows Hong Yao on both her public and private NetEase Cloud Music streaming accounts, lending credibility to the reports.

The news was met by confusion from fans, as Jinyan and Hong Yao are often at loggerheads with each other in their respective roles on screen. Some have also pointed out that the pictures of them in Bali together does not necessarily mean that they are dating.
