Earlier this month, Wu Chun, 41, flew from Brunei to China for his first work trip in months. He’s scheduled for a charity run in early November, but flew in early in order to fulfill his 14 days of self-isolation.
On October 19, he posted his first update since arriving in China, writing: “It’s my fifth day of quarantine. I enjoy an active lifestyle and I’m really not used to sitting on the sofa all day. This morning, I watched The Legend Of Bruce Lee and decided that it’s time to get moving. I look a bit crazy but it feels good. #WuChunsMuscleDefinition”
His post was accompanied by a one-minute video of Wu Chun showing off his kungfu moves, though what everyone focused on wasn't his skills or the cinematic effects he added to the vid. It was the fact that Wu Chun was shirtless and his impressive pecs and abs were on full display. Unsurprisingly, his ripped body became one of Weibo's trending topics in no time.
When you've got it, flaunt it
What made things even more interesting was Wu Chun’s response to the comments left by netizens. One fan asked, “Are you here to show off your muscles?” to which he quipped, “You need to have it to flaunt it.” Another asked, “You’re getting cabin fever on your fifth day. What’s going to happen on the sixth, seventh and eighth day?” The actor deadpanned, “I’ll just get crazier and crazier, then.”
He went on to answer dozens of comments on his Weibo, which was probably a sign that he was bored out of his mind during quarantine.
Netizens are also convinced that he would emerge from self-isolation more ripped than before. “He has all the time in the world to work out now. He could be adding on to his eight-pack as we speak!” said one such netizen. In the end, his fans were more than happy to check out their idol’s amazing body, with one going as far to call him ‘The King Of My Heart Who Will Never Age’.
