Chinese actor and Faye Wong's ex-husband Li Yapeng is not doing so hot these days.

Back in 2015, it was revealed that the actor was being sued by an investment company after their business deal soured.

According to reports at that time, Yapeng, 49, holds stocks in Lijiang Snow Mountain Investment Company, which entered a partnership with Beijing Taihe Youlian Investment Company in 2012. The latter invested a total of 60mil yuan (S$12.3mil) as part of their deal.

At that time, both companies had agreed that after three years, Beijing Taihe Youlian Investment Company would be paid 40mil yuan (S$8mil). However, the company didn't receive the sum from Lijiang Snow Mountain Investment Company.

As a result, a lawsuit was filed against Yapeng, his older brother, and Lijiang Snow Mountain Investment Company in 2015. The judges later ruled in favour of Beijing Taihe Youlian Investment Company, with Yapeng filing an appeal. But he eventually lost his appeal.
