Korean entertainment company TS Entertainment has been hit with allegations of abuse and violence against two members of idol group TRCNG.

Taeseon and Wooyeop, both 19, have reportedly requested to cancel their contract with the agency and have lodged police reports against their choreographers for abuse and violence.

According to the duo’s lawyer, they were forced to practice their choreography from 5pm to 5am and banned from sleeping. They were also often hit by the choreographers, and their label allegedly turned a blind eye even when the matter was reported to them.

Wooyeop was also said to have been hit with a metal chair in June, and had to visit the Accident and Emergency (A&E) department on his own. He received treatment for two weeks and was eventually hospitalised as he had a high fever. His lawyer stated that Wooyeop was blamed for getting sick after he was discharged as he was drinking and meeting girls too often.

Taeseon, as the leader of the 10-member band, was constantly physically and verbally abused as he was blamed for any perceived shortcomings of the group.

Apart from the abuse, the members also took issue with their living conditions.

While living in dorms together, no food was provided to the group, and the members’ parents were forced to pay for the utility bills after water and electricity to the apartment was cut off.

After the allegations made the news on November 18, TS Entertainment has issued a denial against the claims, saying that they will take legal action against both members for libel.

This is not the first time that TS has been involved in lawsuits, as all six members of former boy group B.A.P filed a lawsuit against their former agency to nullify their respective contracts back in 2014. Four years later, girl group SECRET's Jieun and Hyosung also had a legal scuffle with the company for similar reasons.

Hip hop duo Untouchable's Sleepy, along with girl group Sonamoo's Sumin and Nahyun similarly filed lawsuits against TS to terminate their respective contracts.
