Toby Leung pregnant with first child, raises suspicions of a shotgun wedding

Hong Kong singer-actress Toby Leung announced that she tied the knot with her non-celebrity boyfriend, Jonathan after a year of dating back in July. This is the second marriage for Toby, who was previously married to businessman Aaron Wong.

In an interview given shortly after tying the knot, Toby let on that the couple hoped to start a family soon, and that they would like to have two kids together.

A month later, a report shared that Toby is rumoured to be four to five months pregnant, and that the couple had known of the news before their wedding. Neither Toby nor Jonathan responded the reports at that time.

On September 16, however, Toby took to her Instagram to confirm that she is indeed pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Her post, which featured a picture of a beige baby onesie, along with a tag reading “Baby Sze”, was accompanied by a caption in both English and Chinese.

“What a year it has been. Not only have I married my best friend and the man of my dreams, but we would also like to proudly announce that we will soon be parents too! I'm so excited to embark on this journey together with my husband. We are beyond blessed, and would like to give all glory to God,” she wrote in her caption.

Fans and fellow celebrities alike left comments on Toby’s post congratulating the actress, expressing their excitement for the mother-to-be.
