This Is What Wang Leehom Looks Like Now After Not Shaving Or Getting A Haircut For A Really Long Time

The facial hair isn’t new, of course.

Back in April, Blackie Chen gave the public the first glimpse of a scruffier Leehom on Instagram, earning the latter comparisons to Hollywood star Keanu Reeves.

Although some fans urged Leehom to get rid of the beard as they prefer him clean-shaven, he clearly paid them no heed and followed up by posting more pics of his long-haired and bewhiskered self.

But yes, back to his latest selfie. While many pointed out his resemblance to a variety of fellow bearded, dreadlocked figures — both real and fictional — such as Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, others said that they had trouble recognising him at first.

Of course, there were those who think he looks much better with short hair and a clean-shaven face, with one less flattering comment pretty much accusing the handsome star of “letting himself go”.

We also spotted one Facebook user telling Leehom to read up on cultural appropriation and learn “why it’s harmful for [him] as a non-black person to be wearing box braids”.

In any case, it seems like there are plenty of folks anticipating the day when Leehom heads to the salon and comes out looking like his old self again.
