Sandra was body-shamed for having "stomach rolls” while sitting down in a tight dress. And 'Sandra Ma's Stomach' quickly became a trending topic on Weibo. 

"You look like an auntie!" wrote one hater. "Please give some attention to managing your body!" said another. But there were fans who defended Sandra, who is clearly not fat, blaming the unflattering camera angle instead.

Instead of wallowing in self-pity, Sandra decided to clap back at her haters by making fun of herself. 

In a series of three pictures uploaded on Weibo, Sandra, whose surname in Chinese means 'horse', wrote: “Little horse is trying. Little horse is doing her best. Little horse will definitely be as skinny as the third picture.”

The first pic was a selfie of herself eating a healthy meal, the second was a full-body shot, while the third was a hilariously badly Photoshopped version of that second pic, which was clearly a dig at the unrealistic body standards women are subjected to. 

Sandra's followers loved her sense of humour and praised her for her response. They also encouraged the actress to take care of her health and not listen to her haters. But the best comment came from this fan who posted this message, “I prefer you this way" along with this picture… 

Hopefully, Sandra's haters will get the hint and realise that it's not right to body shame anyone.
