This Chinese Actor Tried To Create A Mask That Can Bypass His Phone’s Facial Recognition System

The humble face mask has become a necessity and a hot commodity during the current COVID-19 crisis, but it does present its wearer with a bit of a cumbersome First World problem: you can’t unlock your smartphone using its facial recognition system.

Well, they say necessity is the mother of invention, and Chinese actor Oscar Sun (also known as Sun Jian) decided to explore his innovative side and come up with a solution: He DIY-ed his own mask that was printed with the parts of his face that would have been covered.
