This China-Based Taiwanese Actress Rants About How Expensive Fruits And Eggs Are In Taiwan

Taiwanese actress Fanny Liu, who has been based in China for the past few years, recently took to her Weibo to rant about, of all things, the price of fruits in Taipei. According to the 37-year-old, fresh fruit is exceedingly expensive in Taipei, and pales in comparison to fruit that’s grown in China.

“My friend lives in New Taipei City, and he’s so pitiful. Previously, when I lived in Taipei, I felt so sorry for myself too, ‘cos the prices of Taiwanese fruit becomes super expensive once it reaches Taipei. In Taipei, the fruit is sold in single units, and for the price of two apples in Taipei, I can buy a whole carton of Chinese Red Delicious apples!” she wrote.
