Taiwanese Comedian Caught In Public Altercation, Which May Have Something To Do With His S$2.4mil Gambling Debt
Although Ma Guobi has paid off most of his massive baseball gambling debt, he still owes around S$380,000.
Taiwanese comedian Ma Guobi has had a very, um, dramatic life. The day before his wedding to his now ex-wife Joanne Hsieh in 2010, the former couple got into a fight that was apparently so bad that it ended up with him attempting suicide with sleeping pills and charcoal.
Although his car — along with their wedding photos and invitations that were inside — was burnt to a crisp, Guobi fortunately survived, and he still went on to marry Joanne, who at that time was already three months pregnant with their daughter.
