Taiwanese Celeb Dancer Serena Liu Dies At 44 Because She Couldn’t Get A Heart Transplant In Time

Taiwanese celeb dancer Serena Liu (also known as Liu Zhen) passed away on Mar 22, according to Taiwanese news reports.

Late last month, it was reported that the 44-year-old, who's dubbed Taiwan's queen of ballroom dancing, had slipped into a coma after her heart stopped beating during a heart valve repair surgery at Taipei Veterans General Hospital.

While Serena's family had never confirmed the reports, her husband, singer Shin Lung, posted an emotional Facebook update on Feb 27 asking for the public to send positive energy her way during “the most crucial point (of her life)”. He added that he was willing to give up his life for hers, especially since their daughter is only four and “can’t be without her mother”.
