Maybe we're a little biased here (hello, Singapore pride?), but “obscure" is one adjective that we’d never associate with Singaporean singer Stefanie Sun.
After all, the 42-year-old has sold over 30 million records since her debut in 2000, won two Golden Melody Awards, and has one of the most recognisable voices in Asia.
However, one particular Chinese netizen, who’s apparently not very familiar with Stefanie, incurred the ire of many recently, when she wrote a forum post recommending Stef’s songs to their fellow netizens.
Sounds pretty good, right? After all, the netizen even praised Stef for her “distinctive vocals”, naming the singer’s classic songs like ‘Encounter’, ‘Green Light’ and ‘180 Degrees’ as some songs that she really enjoyed.
