Each year, media, fans, and the who’s who of the local showbiz scene gather at the glitzy Star Awards ceremony to see who will take home the evening’s coveted top honours and accolades. And each year, they are joined by a dazzling host of international celebrities who grace our sunny shores as award presenters, performers, or both.

The latest lineup of overseas artistes who will be taking on those roles at the Star Awards 2019 has been unveiled, and it is quite an exciting one, to say the least.

Cecilia Cheung, who has largely maintained a low profile of late, is one pleasantly surprising name on the list. This will be the Hong Kong actress’s first public appearance since the birth of her third child.

Joining her are Taiwanese singer-actor (and noted cold-braver) Jerry Yan, Story of Yanxi Palace breakout star Wu Jinyan, Hong Kong actor Roger Kwok, and Taiwanese actor Blue Lan, who is currently based in Singapore filming All is Well.

Likely to perform at the event (although that hasn’t been confirmed at the moment) are singers Tony Sun (without the rest of his 5566 bandmates, unfortunately), Eric Chou, Bowie Tsang (daughter of Eric Tsang), and Joyce Cheng (daughter of the late Lydia Shum).
