Taiwanese model-actress Sonia Sui has spent the last six months in Hengchun, a small township five hours away by car from Taipei. There, she’s been giving lessons to school children about sexual assault prevention, and it seems educating young kids has become her new calling in life. Apparently, it all started after Sonia contributed to the book Hu Hu Duo Duo, which talks about how young girls can be protected from would-be predators.

Last week, the 39-year-old made a trip back to Taipei for an event, where she shared more about her future plans. For one, Sonia will be putting her showbiz career on hold because raising awareness on child sexual abuse is now her priority.

“Of course I want to act, because that’s what I’m most passionate about,” she told reporters. “But right now, I don’t have plans [to return to acting].”
