Despite that, Besson has confirmed Igon Siruss is not the film's primary villain. Could it be that this opportunistic criminal will play a part in defeating the film's real villain (not yet revealed) in order to preserve his own interests?

Notably, they are also the first extraterrestrials to make contact with humans. They also happen to be Besson's favourite. “I love him,” Besson says. “I love his profile and his face. There is such a sweetness and almost a sadness in his face.”
