S.H.E are officially free agents

After weeks of headlines that S.H.E’s contracts are due to expire with their label of 17 years, HIM International Music, the record company has confirmed that Selina Jen, Hebe Tien and Ella Chen are officially free agents as of today (October 1).

Previously, it was reported that news of the three ladies leaving the label caused stock prices to slide, given that they are one of the biggest revenue earners of the company.

HIM revealed how big a contribution they have made, as they shared the 2018 numbers from January to August had seen S.H.E pulling in 29.4 per cent of the company’s revenue, and that the gross profit that they have made for the company is estimated at 12.6 per cent.

The question on many fans’ minds is how S.H.E group activities will be conducted in the future, as previous reports have stated that HIM is likely to have registered the group name as a trademark, and that the trio might have to work with their former label when they are promoting as a group. However, exact details have yet to be revealed by either of the parties.

Ella has previously confirmed that she will be under a newly established label set up by her husband, while Selina and Hebe are believed to not be signing with any company and choosing to manage their own activities instead.
