If someone were to tell us a year ago that there would be a video of Rui En dancing along to ‘YMCA’, we would probably look him in the eye and say, “Yeah, and the leaders of North and South Korea will hold hands and make up.” But what do we know right?
The actress, who has been MIA from the public eye for the past year, made an appearance yesterday (April 29) on the social media posts of her pals Dennis Chew, Elvin Ng, Romeo Tan and one very groovy Pierre Png, when they all attended the finals of the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens at the National Stadium.
We’re not sure if Rui En’s a rugby fan — we always thought she was more of a hockey kind of girl — but she sure seemed like she had a lot of fun at the big game. Thanks to Dennis Chew’s IG stories, we saw her dancing along to, yes, The Village People’s ‘YMCA’, singing out loud to Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’, hamming it up for the camera… you know, basically having a rugby ball of a time. We also wonder if anyone tried to, um, tackle her that night, but enough with rugby puns.
The truth is, it’s really great to see Rui En out and about again. And it’s even better to see her looking fitter, healthier and happier than ever before. Guess those Muay Thai lessons she’s been going for have been paying off. Now where do we sign up?
