Love (and COVID-19) is in the air.
No thanks to COVID-19, nothing says “I love you” more these days than giving your significant other a bouquet made up of face masks.
And that’s exactly what actor Wallace Huo did for his wife actress Ruby Lin, on Valentine’s Day (Feb 14).
“This special day comes with a special gift. Happy Valentine’s Day! Press on, let’s do this together!” wrote Ruby, 44, on Weibo. Along with her post was a pic of Wallace's face mask bouquet.
Aside from the bouquet, Ruby also received a handbag made of out of clay from her three-year-old daughter ‘Little Dolphin’.
While there were those who described Wallace's bouquet as "thoughtful", some unimpressed netizens were far less enthused, calling it “unhygienic”.
“It might not be clean 'cos other people have touched it,” criticised a netizen. It wasn't long before Ruby decided to chime on. “It’s only a picture, please don’t take it so seriously!” she replied.
A couple of fans also jumped to Ruby’s defence, pointing out that the masks were “wrapped in plastic”, and therefore, are clean. We hope.
