Rain & Kim Tae Hee Buy House Near Schools

With a combined wealth of 50bil won (S$62.4mil), Rain, 34, and Kim Tae Hee, 36, are known as Korea’s wealthiest showbiz couple. Since the pair got married in January, Tae Hee has been living with Rain and his dad and younger sister in the pop star’s family home in Cheongdam-dong. And while it’s been said that Tae Hee is enjoying life as lady of the household (Rain’s mum passed away in 2000), it was revealed yesterday that the couple are planning to move out.

It was reported that Rain has bought a 5bil won (S$6.2mil) three-storey, 3500 sq ft mansion in the Itaewon district in the Seoul. They were also spotted shopping for furniture in Gangnam. According to reports, Rain and Tae Hee’s new home is near Mount Nam and boasts an impressive view of the Seoul skyline.

This is the house that Rain bought. Well, at least according to the Korean press.

It is also situated near schools, a sign perhaps, that the couple are going to start a family of their own soon? But when Tae Hee was asked about the rumours that she’s now pregnant, the actress said: “We wish it were true. But that’s definitely not the case.”

In the meantime, the couple gave fans a glimpse of their domestic life in a photo shoot for Harper’s Bazaar Korea recently.
