Our Ranking Of The 50 Most Memorable Star Awards Outfits

This is going to take you down memory lane.

Our Ranking Of The 50 Most Memorable Star Awards Outfits

With local TV’s most prestigious awards ceremony just two weeks away, we got thinking about our favourite looks of Star Awards past. After all, when it comes to the annual shindig, it’s as much about who won what as who wore what. Hey, it’s not every day that you get to see the stars dressed up to the nines and competing to out-OOTD one another — to dazzling (or disastrous) results.

Who could forget the time Fann Wong donned her now-iconic lime green hot shorts to the 1996 Star Awards? Or the yellow raincoat she seemingly borrowed from Paddington Bear for the 1995 ceremony? Special mention also goes to Fann’s hubby, Christopher Lee, who is well-known for his fashion eccentricity. Recall how he rocked up to the 1997 show in a white-shirt-and-apron combo looking like the world's coolest char kway teow hawker? Or how about the time he channelled Willy Wonka with a walking cane and round-frame glasses? Of course, it would be a travesty to leave out Ann Kok and her breast-in-show outfits. Similarly, Joanne Peh is also not one to shy away from showing some skin — an underboob here, an underwear flash there. And in case you haven't noticed, when it comes to Star Awards, the fashion fails — you know, those head-scratching/OTT get-ups that scored 'F's in our fashion report card — are just as memorable as the sartorial standouts.

So in a timely, ahem, fashion, we take you through 50 of the most memorable Star Awards outfits since the inaugural 1994 Star Awards. We have also gone one step further and ranked the outfits from the most memorable to the meh-morable. But if you find yourself disagreeing with us, which we know you will since fashion is, um, subjective, you can cast your vote for your most memorable Star Awards outfit here. Have fun and may Fann's lime green shorts be forever in your favour.
