Nicholas Tse will go all out to protect his sons from unwanted media attention

Hong Kong media outlets published a damning report of Nicholas Tse earlier this week, claiming that the Hong Kong actor’s elder son, Lucas, declared his father “not good enough for my mum”.

His mum, of course, is Cecilia Cheung, who split from Nicholas in 2011 in a divorce that still grabs headlines until today.

What was curious was that the reports claimed that the 12-year-old did an exclusive interview, where he bemoaned that Nicholas hasn’t been a very good father. “My brother and I rarely see him because he’s so busy. Even when I’m sick or when my brother (Quintus) is running a fever, we only have our mum by our side,” Lucas was claimed to have said.

The most surprising quote, however, was one that read, “I don’t find it a pity that he and my mum split, because he’s not good enough for my mum.”

This report naturally became the talk of the town, although Nicholas’s manager has refused to comment on the issue. On the other hand, his label, Emperor Entertainment Group, did not take this lying down and issued a statement condemning the reports.

“Nicholas has a good relationship with his children,” the statement read. “Unnecessary and malicious discussions are a negative influence on the children, and Nicholas will do everything in his power to protect them. He will not tolerate anyone who makes use of his children to spin fake news. We sincerely hope that the public thinks of the children, and will not do anything that may affect their everyday lives.”

They then declared that they will take legal action against those who continue to post and spread defamatory rumours about him and his children.
