Reality talent searches are all the rage in China these days, and Chinese video platform Mango TV’s newest show, Me To Us, has caught the attention of netizens for many reasons. The show’s premise alone has been become a point of interest — they aim to assemble a band from the hopefuls who have auditioned instead of an idol group, which has been the case for similar programmes.

Another reason is their lineup of celeb mentors, which includes Nicholas Tse, Jam Hsiao and TFBoys’ Karry Wang. The first episode, which aired on March 14, has since generated a lot of online discussion because Nicholas and Karry opened up about finding fame when they were still kids.
