On December 31 last year, Hongkong media outlet Next Magazine ran a report accusing Hongkong actor Natalis Chan of breaking safe distancing rules.

According to the story, the 70-year-old and his wife, Cecilia Wong, sailed out to a private island off the coast of Sai Kung, where they indulged in a four-hour-long meal with 12 other friends at a private dining establishment on Christmas Eve last year.

When reached for a comment, however, Natalis explained that he had “gone to a friend’s house for a visit”.
