Michelle Chen blasts reports of troubled marriage as “sheer fiction”

Michelle Chen has denied reports that her marriage to Chinese actor Chen Xiao is on the rocks, blasting the claims as “sheer fiction”.

Earlier this month, the couple, who tied the knot three years ago and have a two-year-old son together, were said to be engaged in a cold war following a big fight.

However, Michelle assured everyone that all is well between them during a public appearance for a watch brand in Taipei yesterday (Jul 18), brushing off the rumours as part and parcel of being a public figure.

In fact, the 36-year-old said that she and her husband are currently planning to have a second child, although they will let nature take its course. “I’m in no hurry to return to work, but I am constantly looking at scripts,” she said. “I’m really cherishing the time I have to spend with my family.”

Speaking of babies, Michelle also revealed her little “secret” to successfully getting pregnant, which she had shared with actress Ady An, who recently gave birth to a baby boy, and Rainie Yang, who just got engaged with fellow singer Li Ronghao.

It’s simple: “Going to bed early and waking up early is good for everyone’s health.”
